Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance

Playing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliane is really sweet. I used to be one for not playing video games as much. Sure, I had my favourites like Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Kart, and Unicycle (among others).
Lately though, D's been getting me into a kick where I want to play all the time. Whether it be Halo, or some racing game or something else entirely. When I saw him play his brother ps3 Elder's Scroll 4: Oblivian game a few days ago that was it.
T lent me said game above and I've been playing it whenever I can. I'm on the easy level, as I haven't really been a hard gamer for awhile now, but it's really good. It is not boring, tedious, and I don't think my interest will wane, either.

I know when I first bought Dark Cloud, I was uber excited. That is, until I got into the caves (first level but it takes an hour to get there since the opening sequence is so long). This is where it pissed me off. I was enjoying the fighting of the skeletons and the unjustifyingly big bats, but my thirst level went down. So I went to go look for this fountain that would replenish it... and I ended up dying. So I was like okay, that's fair, and went back down into the caves. Only to die again!!!!
And again!!!

And again!!!

Becuase my thirst hadn't replenished itself upon dying, I had to find this water fountain within a certain time limit. And, the caves kept changing everytime I walked in, so if I ended up finding the fountain on my map but hadn't reached it yet, it wouldn't be there the next time.

So after an hour of dying I gave up and really don't feel like playing the game anymore becuase of that. I get annoyed really quickly when things aren't easy. It's just the way I am.

But the game I'm playing now, it's not easy, but omg there's an actual interesting story behind it. Which keeps my interest, even if I DO keep dying, and dying and dying.

I had three choices to pick from at the beginning of the game, an archer, a dwarf and an Elven Sorcerres. I got the Elf, of course.

I'm just in the second level of the sewers. I finished off the big boss in the first level, and I was so proud of myself. I even paused and took stock of the situation when I found twenty bloody archers all in a row, with arrows streaming my way. There were a whole set of crates stacked up to protect me, but trying to shoot each one with 15 arrows coming at me was an interesting experience. I found out that I could get hit and have little damage, so I merely took my time aiming and then dodging. Took a few minutes but I got the job done and had fun with it!

I'll have more later, when something else interesting happens.

I played the elf sorcerer when I played too! I tried playing back through as the dwarf but got bored.
